Sooni,
Thanks again and yeah we are busy counting what we don't have so that hardly gives us the opportunity to count what we have.

Uma,
SO sorry for the late response. Just seem to have missed it earlier. Thanks so much for your warm comments. Loved sharing my experience and sincerely hope that it could give some inspiration to readers specially anyone who has a Anne or Tarun at home.

A very moving story. It is very few of us who have the ability to count our blessings and stay content. You have a nice style.

Shuvashree, thanks for sharing your touching experience with fellow bloggers.  It indeed makes a difference. Your 'The Day I saw light' also was another such inspiring blog.  You have an honest and direct approach to writing which is appealing.  Kudos!    Uma

Hi Chandrika,
Thanks for stopping by. You are right we have a lot to learn from people like Tarun in counting the blessings in our lives. Glad you liked the story.

Nice story shubashree... it is an irony that we normal people very rarely  find any blessings in our lives and the fact of the matter is we have to learn a lot from the 'not so blessed"! that aspect has been brought out finely in your story.

Hi Sam,
Thanks for sharing your experience. And for also reminding me that instead of waiting for a year to write this story I should have done it earlier.
Not knowing to write, not having the right words seems like such a flimsy excuse
You are right people like Sunil and Tarun can be such a source of inspiration to all of us.

Lovely

I remember attending a course in landmark education where we were urged not to make excuses and do what we really want to do (not later but now). There was this physically challenged boy who stood up and started to speak. He was very emotional. He had no use of his hips and below. He was a chartered accountant but said that thruout his life he had made his handicap an excuse not to do things. He said he was going to stop using his physical condition as an excuse not to do things and start living ! We were all stunned that a person like him was saying that he made so many excuses to avoid doing things. He changed a lot of us that day and still volunteers to help others out at landmark. Several Doctors attending that day tried a lot to find some way to help him medically and got a team of International Doctors to check if anything could be done. Sadly nothing could be done for Sunil

Santosh
Sunil was an inspiration to us all. He is married to a physically challenged girl now
